Our client is an independent, front-line charity working with disadvantaged communities throughout England and Wales. We deliver personalised support to individuals, battling a wide range of issues, associated with drug and alcohol abuse.
Since 2006, they have continued to deliver positive outcomes, through its Care Pathway Service (CPS) – a tailor made resettlement plan based on an individual’s needs – to particular target groups, local authorities and support agencies.
Our client is offering an exciting opportunity to work within our team. The role is primarily focused on communications skills, can use social and digital media, and who has good ideas and enthusiasm.

The internship would entail some of the following tasks:
Creating and posting posts for social media
Creating short video blog posts
Helping to draft and edit content for the website and publications
Updating the website
Helping to plan events
Undertaking general research
Helping to create a database of our beneficiaries and collating information
Other administrative tasks
Excellent written and oral communication skills, good telephone manner
A good team player, confident working as part of a team and alone using own initiative
Good IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and online resources
Good awareness marketing, particularly how to use social media
Good organisational skills, creative thinking and a passion for social care
- Flexible, self-motivated and hard-working with acute attention to detail with an ability to work under pressure
