Our client offers a full range of products and services including domain name registration, web hosting, web design, ecommerce, search engine optimisation, email marketing and broadband internet.
The role is a first point of contact for customers requiring technical support and advice.
You will be required to deal efficiently with all telephone and online support covering a range of issues including broadband, web hosting, databases, email as well as administrative / customer support issues.
The initial training period will last 2 weeks. However, training to continually improve your technical and professional skills will be provided throughout the apprenticeship period. Training will be provided by a senior technical support executive and will cover the full product range.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent communications skills, always remain calm under pressure and deal with customers professionally.
You must be able to solve problems using your own initiative and, equally, not be afraid to ask questions when necessary.
You will need excellent IT skills including proficiency across a range of Microsoft Office applications. In addition, knowledge of some or all of the following would be a distinct advantage: email clients, DNS, web servers, SMTP, IMAP POP3, HTML, PHP, UNIX, Windows, MySQL, FTP, and Dreamweaver.
