Non-Levy Paying Companies – The Apprenticeship Levy

The Apprenticeship Levy

Through government legislation the Apprenticeship Levy came into force on 6 April 2017

A non-levy paying company has a staff payroll of less than £3 million.
As non-levy paying companies do not need to contribute towards the Apprenticeship Levy, they can access the government fund for their apprenticeship training at any level. For apprentices aged 16 – 18 non-levy paying companies will receive full funding towards the apprenticeship training, however, non-levy paying companies will be expected to make a contribution of 10% for apprentices who are aged 19 and above.
